Examiner: Allison Munn Talks Going From Musical Theater to’ One Tree Hill’

, Allison Munn plays Miss Lauren: the sweet teacher with a fun personality. When speaking with Munn, you quickly come to learn that the traits you see in her character are what you find in her as well. A genuine southern girl, Munn grew up in South Carolina and went onto pursue her dreams of acting when she got her start in local and regional theater, and eventually landed major stage roles in New York City doing off-Broadway. After moving to Los Angeles, she landed a recurring role That 70′s Show, and went on to star in the comedy What I Like About You. I recently had the pleasure of interviewing Munn in which she discussed with me how she made the transition from on-stage to on-screen acting, what she most enjoys about One Tree Hill, who she could go back in history, and much more!

HollywoodLife.com caught up with star Sophia Bush to get the scoop: “We only have a month left to shoot, and as of now we haven’t heard anything about it coming back,” she told us Feb. 13 at the Max Azria show during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in NYC. “So I doubt it.”

Jana Kramer Signs With Warner Music Nashville; Single to Premiere on ‘One Tree Hill’

One Tree Hill star Jana Kramer has signed a deal with Warner Music Nashville and is set to premiere her single, “I Won’t Give Up” on the show!
After divorcing Johnathon Schaech last August after a little over a month of marriage, it seems like Jana is moving forward!
The actress/singer/songwriter will premiere “I Won’t Give Up,” which she co-wrote, on One Tree Hill on Feb. 8.
“Jana is so thrilled and deeply honored with her new partnership with Warner Music Nashville,” the press release states. “Singing and songwriting have always been her passions, and she is blessed by the opportunity to pursue her love of country music and acting simultaneously.”
But don’t worry, Jana will still be starring as Alex Dupre on One Tree Hill even with her new record deal!
Jana will continue to shoot the show in Wilmington, N.C. until the season end in March and spend time at her home in East Nashville when she can!

Chad Michael Murray, whose last film, Christmas Cupid, was watch by over 5,000 people on ABC Family, was spotted taking a meeting at a Starbucks in El Lay yesterday. Script in hand, Chad chatted away with some friends about the material, before offering the paparazzi a sign of peace and heading to his car.
Hmm. There are so many things it could be! Maybe he’s upgraded to Lifetime movies. A role alongside Jennifer Love Hewitt perhaps!
Or maybe, just maybe, it’s a One Tree Hill episode and he’s finally making a comeback! (Let’s be honest – we just want to hear the guy’s willing to do one more before the show ends. It’s called “loyalty” bud!)
In other news, you’re still looking pretty hot, BB! Love the scruff – lose the hat!

One Tree Hill’ Star Bethany Joy Galeotti Was Born To Be A Mother

Bethany Joy Galeotti, who plays Haley James Scott on the hit CW series One Tree Hill, may be expecting her second baby on the show, but in real-life she’s becoming a first-time mommy! Her One Tree Hill castmate  Sharon Lawrence tells HollyBaby.com that Bethany Joy, 29, is handling pregnancy perfectly. “Oh, she was born to do this,” Sharon tells us.
“What a lucky kid, just got to say that,” Sharon says of Bethany Joy’s soon-to-be baby. “Just has such a calm, centered, happy mother.” Sharon, 49, who plays Sophia Bush’s mother-in-law Sylvia Baker on the show says that all the ladies of Tree Hill are lovely individuals. “I was really impressed, they’re all very calm and happy and have a true appreciation for life,” she explains. “That’s a great thing to see.”
Bethany Joy is married to Enation band member Michael Galeotti and their baby is due to arrive this May.

The CW has posted about the featured artist for the theme song for One Tree Hill this week -- TEGAN & SARA! You may be familiar with their music from seasons one and two of the show and even later in season seven, so it was pretty cool to have them come back this season and take on Gavin DeGraw's infamous "I Don't Want To Be" this week.

CW president: Ninth season of “One Tree Hill” still “possible”

My cohorts in the Television Critics Association are once again storming Los Angeles  to get the scoop on the new shows the networks have to offer and checking with the creators and stars of some of our favorite series.
I couldn’t make it out to the tour this month, but I still wanted to make sure fans of the locally filmed “One Tree Hill” got some questions answered.
At the CW event, my friend Rob Owen — writer for the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette and Scripps Howard News Service – grilled network president Dawn Ostroff about “OTH.”
Other than the crazy (in a good way) midseason finale,  this season’s episodes have lacked  some of the punch of former seasons. So I was curious if Ostroff was happy with the show creatively so far.
“We have been,” she said.  ”And now we have a big wedding coming, and the episode is going to be fantastic. Mark Schwahn – bless that man.  I don’t know how he does it. He’s as enthusiastic about the show today as he was when we formuloated the CW. He loves what he’s doing and is still able creatively to keep the show in a place where the fans are really satisfied. He seems really satisfied, and we’ve been thrilled with it.”
OK, fine. But is she satisfied enough to renew the show for a ninth season?
“Possible,” she said. “I could never say no given what this has been. Every year it’s, ‘Do we think it can get picked up again? Do we think it can go?’ And every year… we pick it up.  You never count Mark out. Every year he comes back, and he’s made the show better.”

During a conference call talking about her upcoming return to USA’s White Collar, Burton was asked about the possibility of her returning to One Tree Hill, which she starred on for five seasons as Peyton Sawyer (later Peyton Scott). Sadly for fans, she has no intention of returning. She said that while she has “a fondness for that part of my life” and that she stays in contact with the people she met on the show, her personal life doesn’t fit with flying across country to be on the show abd she doesn’t have the time for it anymore. So don’t expect to see Peyton at Brooke’s upcoming wedding.

TVLine: Exclusive: Grey’s Beauty To Recur On Tree Hill

Apparently Leven Rambin’s upcoming gig in the CSI: Miami lab won’t be an extended one after all.
Instead, the sunny alum of shows such as Grey’s Anatomy and Sarah Connor Chronicles has landed a recurring role on The CW’s One Tree Hill, TVLine has learned exclusively.
Rambin’s new character could echo her work on Grey’s, where she hit the scene as Mark Sloan’s unmarried and pregnant daughter, seeing as she’ll play a young woman Brooke crosses paths with as she explores adoption options. But that’s all I’m at liberty to reveal.
Well, that and the fact that Rambin will make her first OTH appearance in this season’s 19th episode.
The CW’s One Tree Hill airs Tuesdays at 8/7c.

The character, which could be around for as many as four episodes, is sensible and caring, but also smart enough to know she’s not prepared to give the baby the upbringing it deserves. So, who do you think the lucky parents might be?

When is Hilarie Burton coming back to White Collar?

Hilarie Burton’s character, the sassy and smart insurance investigator, will be back in White Collar’s Jan. 18 premiere, and this time she has to work with Neal. If you were a fan of One Tree Hill, you’ll be excited for a mini reunion when Kevin Kilner’s and Hilarie’s characters collide in the FBI. You might remember Kilner played Peyton’s papa on the CW prime-time soap. The best part about this reunion is it’s without dredging boats or psycho stalkers!

Sophia Bush: Brittany Snow is a Lifesaver

Sophia Bush arrives at Audi and J. Mendel’s kickoff party for Golden Globe Week on Sunday (January 9) in Los Angeles.
The 28-year-old actress got some devastating news recently – one of the victims of the Arizona assassination attempt of Rep. Gabrielle Giffords was a second cousin of Sophia’s.
At the party, Sophia spent time with pal Brittany Snow at the party. Brit arrived at the party with her Hairspray co-star, Zac Efron.

Sophia Bush cousin killed in Tucson shooting

Sophia Bush has revealed that her 9-year-old cousin was one of the people killed in Saturday’s mass shooting in Arizona.
Schoolgirl Christina Green was one of a number of people murdered when a gunman shot congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords at a public meeting in Tucson before opening fire on the crowd.
One Tree Hill star Bush called Green’s death “devastating” and expressed her dismay that anyone would resort to such “senseless violence”.
“She was my 2nd cousin… Devastating,” Bush posted on Twitter. “There are no words to explain what my cousin’s family is going through in Arizona. How can this be? Violence is never the answer.”
She went on to tell her followers: “If you know anyone who is struggling, please reach out to them. No-one should feel so alone that they resort to senseless violence.”
Green was born on September 11, 2001.

SOPHIA BUSH IS A GUEST ON 'CHELSEA LATELY' THIS MONDAY

If you follow Sophia Bush on twitter, you should not be surprised when we tell you that she is a huge fan of comedian Chelsea Handler. What you might not know is that Sophia will finally appear as a guest on Chelsea's popular late night talk show on the E! network, Chelsea Lately.

Sophia will be a guest this Monday, January 10th. The show airs at 11:00PM, but please check your local listings for the channel in your neck of the woods

AUSTIN NICHOLS TO DIRECT AN EPISODE OF 'ONE TREE HILL'

Chad Michael Murray wrote an episode in season six, Moira Kelly, Bethany Joy Galeotti, James Lafferty, and Sophia Bush have also directed a couple, and Paul Johansson has directed quite a few. Talk about getting to flap your creative wings! It's a known fact that Mark Schwahn and Joe Davola, unlike many television producers, have allowed their actors to really get involved with the show behind the scenes.

The next in line? Austin Nichols! The actor tweeted about his first time directing today. Three seasons in and Austin will already step behind the camera to direct one of the remaining seven episodes of season eight. We're excited to see which one it will be!

PEOPLE.COM: SOPHIA BUSH'S NO. 1 HEALTH RESOLUTION

Sophia Bush talked about her number one health resolution for 2011 with People.com. While she may be no longer exercising as much as she use to, she has been 'flirting' with giving up meat and going vegan. Good luck Sophia!
